Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 August 2026

Clearquo (“Clearquo,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides a pre-publish compliance checking service for influencer marketing agencies. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, and how we handle it.

1. Who we are

Clearquo is operated by Clearquo Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales [company number to be added once registration is complete]. You can contact us at info@clearquo.com.

2. What data we collect

Account data. When you sign up, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. We never store your password in plain text.

Brand client and rulebook data. Agencies using Clearquo enter information about their brand clients, including required mentions, hashtags, discount codes, banned terms, and tone notes. This is business data belonging to the agency, not personal data about an individual, unless you choose to include personal names within it.

Draft content you submit for checking. This includes caption text, and where applicable, uploaded video files and the audio transcripts generated from them. This content may include the name, likeness, or voice of the creator featured in the draft.

Check results. The verdicts, findings, and suggested revisions generated by our system are stored so you can review your check history.

Payment information. Billing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your card details ourselves; Stripe processes and stores this information under its own privacy policy.

Usage and technical data. We collect standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and basic usage logs, primarily for security and service reliability.

3. How we use your data

  • To provide the core service: running compliance checks against your rulebooks and the relevant UK/US disclosure baseline
  • To maintain your account and check history
  • To process payments and manage your subscription
  • To respond to support requests
  • To improve the accuracy and reliability of the service

We do not sell your data, and we do not use your draft content to train AI models beyond the immediate processing needed to generate your check result.

4. Who we share data with

We use a small number of third-party processors to operate the service:

  • Anthropic (Claude API): processes caption and transcript text to generate compliance check results
  • OpenAI (Whisper API): transcribes uploaded audio/video into text
  • Supabase: hosts our database and file storage
  • Stripe: processes payments and manages subscriptions
  • Vercel: hosts the application itself

Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own data processing terms. We do not share your data with any other third party for marketing or advertising purposes.

5. Where your data is stored

Our infrastructure providers may process data in the UK, EU, or United States. Where data leaves the UK/EEA, we rely on our providers’ standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain account and check data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we will delete your personal data within 90 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax, or regulatory purposes.

7. Your rights

If you are in the UK or EEA, you have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@clearquo.com.

8. Cookies

We use a small number of essential cookies required to keep you logged in and to maintain your session securely. We do not currently use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Data security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections, hashed passwords, and access controls restricting who can view your data. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Children

Clearquo is a business tool intended for use by adults working at influencer marketing agencies. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will note the “last updated” date above, and for material changes, we will notify active account holders by email.
